Thunderous riffs, anthemic songs and a transcendent musicality: A Million Pieces is a commanding new band whose authenticity is both fundamental and compelling. With their current line-up – Peter Vanderloos, guitar; Brad Crowell bass; Lucas Gordon, drums; and lead vocalist Graham Fenton –A Million Pieces is energized with renewed resolve.

Fans of the band from their debut EP Hauntings know that after a succession of promotional tours across the U.S., A Million Pieces dramatically restructured their line-up, bringing Gordon and Fenton came into their ranks. And according to founder Peter Vanderloos, it’s the best thing that could have ever happened.
“The power of this group is the most amazing dynamic I’ve ever worked with,” he says. “Some of our previous members didn’t want to be much bigger than a local band. Now, we all share similar goals.”
Vanderloos is behind the board for A Million Pieces’ newest songs, and he describes the band’s upgraded sound as, “A little more complicated musically, but we’re still putting out edgy, riffy, pop-rock songs.” Bassist Brad Crowell, reserved in person but a vortex of onstage sound and fury, brings impeccable musical credentials and a solid core to the sound. Drummer Lucas Gordon, a Colorado native, balances a metronomic precision with a murderous backbeat – propelling A Million Pieces with awesome authority.

The addition of Graham Fenton introduces a powerhouse front man into the rock spotlight; one well known to theatrical audiences from his starring role in the hit musical Jersey Boys. Featured in the Broadway cast, he performed in subsequent tours across North America, joined an extended stand in Las Vegas, and traveled with the show to Australia and Morocco. Fenton was working as a singing waiter in Los Angeles when Vanderloos happened to be dining in the restaurant. Although he is an actor with a sheaf of stage credits, Fenton says,
“I was always a rocker at heart.”
With A Million Pieces he reveals a striking star quality, a mesmerizing presence and an impressive collection of frequent flyer miles obtained from commuting between Las Vegas to Los Angeles to record with the band.

For their newest slate of songs, Vanderloos and Gordon have come up with the riffs while Fenton adds story lines in lyrics. “I know how a script works,” notes the singer.
“So I’m a little more literal in the lyrics as opposed to being abstract.”
Now poised for auspicious ascension, the members of A Million Pieces are connected by a common creed that is very straight ahead. Concludes Peter Vanderloos:
“We are all here with our friends to write songs and make a career out of what we love to do most – play music.”
